Discussion Announcing: Scoping of environmental issues for the proposed Lake Powell Pipeline Project in Utah and Arizona. 1. Conservation is the answer! The proposed pipeline from Lake Powell to St. George is an outrage. The city of St. George wastes the most water of any city in the Southwest. St. George residents use a staggering 335 gallons of water per person per day. Compared to residence of Los Angeles that use 125 gallons of water per person, per day. Maybe the city of St. George needs to reevaluate their world class Kentucky blue grass golf courses and swimming pools before they decide to spend over $800 million on a pipeline that will devastate amazing wildlands. Water conservation can do wonders, St. George needs to recieve the memo. Posted on January 22, 2009 by haleyhaws Join the Discussion Create a new account or login below to discuss this article. |
